Fundamental is coordinated by Northern Arts Tactical Offensive (NATO).
NATO is a Manchester-based political art collective, whose aim is to bring art dealing with current social and environmental issues out its typical confines, exposing it to a more diverse and mainstream audience. NATO believes in art and culture as a means to transform life, society, and our everyday reality, not merely as a diversion or distraction away from it.
Project Curator: Alex Potts is the founder and project co-ordinator of NATO. He has organised and curated several exhibitions including 'Agitate' 2002 and 'Freedom' 2004.
He co-founded The Basement Social and Cultural Centre in 2003 and The Mule Newspaper in 2007.
